Hours: 21 hours per week, 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Fridays, 2 p.m. - 10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays; position may be shared by two workers who work every other weekend
Hourly pay range: $12.00- $15.00 per hour with time and half pay for holidays and overtime.
Duties and specific tasks: Intake of new residents, check out residents who are leaving. Oversee activities of residents and children, answer and handle crisis calls and arrange for transportation of incoming residents when necessary. Maintain the security of the house, write reports of all client interactions, and perform main office cleaning chores as assigned by supervisor. Some filing and inputting client data information, attend staff meetings, and other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or Executive Director.
Minimum requirements: high school diploma, knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence, successful completion of training after hire, ability to work well with families in crisis, concern for victims of domestic violence and their children, ability to work without immediate supervision, ability to perform specific required chores.
Domestic Harmony currently takes on one intern each college semester. We currently accept college students working on a Social Work degree at the Bachelor level. We are looking for students who can fill in hours that are non-traditional in nature, including evening and weekend hours. You will gain knowledge in crisis intervention, the dynamics of domestic violence, advocacy and supportive services to service participants.
